WiFi Network

The speed at which wireless technology is developing is lightning-fast. Whether it's mobile 5G network (the first experimental 5G network in Serbia was launched via a base station set up in the Science and Technology Park in Belgrade) or WiFi network. Wireless network is a prerequisite for future technologies such as IoT (Internet of Things), Smart City, TaaS (Transportation-as-a-Service) which are already in use (in 2018, Waymo launched a self-driving taxi service commercially in Phoenix, Arizona).

WiFi (Wireless-Fidelity) is a wireless network where data between two or more computers (devices) are transmitted using radio frequencies (RF) and corresponding antennas. It is mostly used in LAN networks (WLAN) but it is increasingly offering wireless access to WAN networks (the Internet). WiFi uses radio frequencies 2.4 GHz (802.11b, 802.11g and 802.11n standards) and 5 GHz (802.11a standard).
